Technical Artist / Programmer / Level Designer
A platformer submitted as an entry for the 2021 Toronto Game Jam. The project was completed in a week with a group consisting of 6 other participants. I primarily served as the Technical Artist in charge of the game's setting, and I collaborated closely with our 2D artists in order to plan our approach to the final aesthetics of the game. |
Responsibilities included programming and implementing the parallax background system, creating and implementing shaders, particle systems, and post-processing volumes, programming most gameplay sound cues, implementing 2D lighting, and contributing to a large portion of the game's level design. I was also required to complete a wide range of miscellaneous tasks when some members in the group dropped out of the project early.
