When Sorrows Come - TOJam 2021
Technical Artist / Programmer / Level Designer
 

A platformer submitted as an entry for the 2021 Toronto Game Jam. The project was completed in a week with a group consisting of 6 other participants.

I primarily served as the Technical Artist in charge of the game's setting, and I collaborated closely with our 2D artists in order to plan our approach to the final aesthetics of the game.
Responsibilities included programming and implementing the parallax background system, creating and implementing shaders, particle systems, and post-processing volumes, programming most gameplay sound cues, implementing 2D lighting, and contributing to a large portion of the game's level design. I was also required to complete a wide range of miscellaneous tasks when some members in the group dropped out of the project early.
