Turbo Procedural Live VJ Audio-Reactive Visual
Picture
Commissioned Artwork

I was tasked with creating an audio visualizer based on a custom logo,
drawing inspiration from the nostalgic, iconic visualizations featured in Windows Media Player during the early 2000s.

The application is controlled remotely by the advanced audio analysis toolset I developed during my Master's research to emulate the behavior of a live VJ performance without the need for timecoding or manual interaction; it dynamically adapts to music in real-time, detecting key moments such as build-ups and bass drops to create an engaging visual narrative.

Its ability to create long-term visual narratives makes it ideal for live performances, such as DJ sets.

Software used: Autodesk Maya, MaxMSP (Bonk~, Digital Orchestra Toolbox, DMXUSBPro, Zsa.Descriptors), Unity (Shader Graph, VFX Graph, extOSC)
