York University Digital Media Program, Lassonde School of Engineering - Project Lead / Technical Artist / Programmer
The completion of this platformer-collectathon game was the primary objective of my Capstone course. This project was a collaborative effort with two other students. For a detailed overview of my primary contributions, please refer to this document. I assumed a leadership role for the development of this project and intentionally paired myself with students who primarily identified as 2D/3D artists. This collaboration allowed me to concentrate exclusively on the technical aspects of game development. The purpose of this approach was to refine my programming skillset. In addition, the extended development time of this project afforded me the opportunity to explore technical art challenges that would have been unfeasible in my smaller projects. This game was chosen as a showpiece project in York University's Digital Media 2021-2022 End of Year Exhibition. |
